Robert Molhoek  Chairman

Rob Molhoek has a broad business background in Senior Management. He has worked in government, retail, broadcasting, media, wholesaling, entertainment, sport and development.

On leaving High School in 1977, Rob began a retail career with Woolworths Big W (i.e. Walmart). As a young man he was personally mentored by the then Australian & New Zealand Managing Director, Fred Stallard and went on to become one of the companies youngest ever Senior Managers at age 24. In nine years he worked in 27 different stores from Adelaide to Darwin. Rob has run coffee shops, a squash & fitness centre, a limousine business, an underground tourist mine and started the Pizza Runners chain in rural Australia.

Rob was an elected Councillor for the Gold Coast City from 2004 to 2008. As Chairman of the City's Finance & Internal Services Committee he was responsible for oversight of the city's financial management, human resources, infrastructure planning & annual operating and capital budgets in excess of $1.2b.

Rob has enjoyed a stellar career in media, advertising & communications. In 1987 after almost a decade in retailing he decided to pursue his passion for broadcast media. From humble beginnings as a radio announcer and manager in the outback town of Broken Hill he went on to run Australia's first FM Radio Duopoly in country Victoria, the Tasmanian Broadcasting Network, Australian Radio Network's stations in Albury/Wodonga and the Grundy's Sea Fm Radio Network stations on the Gold Coast. A key plank of his success as a broadcaster was his understanding of new syndication technology, satellite distribution and broadcast automation. Today Rob operates a general consulting practice in media & communications.

Today he lives on the Gold Coast with his wife Melinda and their four sons. Rob & Melinda believe putting back is important. Both are actively engaged in community service. Currently Rob is a director of Bravehearts the national body committed to fighting child abuse in Australia. He was the founding Chairman of the Gold Coast Community Fund and is currently a director of the Gold Coast Titans Community Foundation. He has served on the boards of football clubs, chambers of commerce, media companies, local festivals, youth organisations and even the Sydney Olympics 2000 Team Fund. Rob is also a founding director and shareholder of the Gold Coast's National Football Team (The NRL Titans) and

As father of four, he understands first-hand the influence pay TV, television, cartoons and video games has on young boys. As a Christian leader, experienced broadcaster, manager and retailer he brings great skills and passion to the Moving Word Pictures Limited team.
